Infrastructure New Zealand, in partnership with BNZ, are pleased to invite you to our first Emerging Talent Network Auckland event for 2019: Infrastructure Funding and Financing: Crown Infrastructure Partners.

Crown Infrastructure Partners (‘CIP’ - formally Crown Fibre Holdings) was established in 2009 to direct and manage the New Zealand Government's $1.5 billion investment in ultra-fast broadband services for New Zealanders living in urban areas. CIP was repurposed in 2017 to achieve the Government’s objectives for the deployment of water and roading infrastructure to support a timely increase in housing supply.

In November 2018, CIP entered a partnership with Auckland Council and Fulton Hogan for the Milldale Project which will fund $91m of roading and wastewater infrastructure to service 9,000 homes at Wainui, north of Auckland.

Sean Wynne, Deputy CEO - CIP will present and provide a background on the history of CIP; their successful fibre past along with details of the Milldale Project itself.

This will be followed by a short panel discussion with individuals directly involved in the structuring and financing of the Milldale Project. They will discuss their role in the transaction, challenges overcome, key insights from the Project, and applicability to other infrastructure asset classes going forward.

Kindly sponsored by BNZ, the evening will conclude with networking and refreshments.
