The Hamilton-Auckland Corridor initiative is New Zealand's first inter.regional growth management partnership, and the first to bring the Crown, mana whenua and local government together in an enduring partnership. The corridor stretches from around Papakura in southern Auckland to Cambridge and Te Awamutu in Waipa, and encompasses NZ's most significant river and inter.regional transport networks. It is also an area that has significant growth pressures and prospects - getting its growth management right is absolutely critical to the Upper North Island and indeed NZ.
Following on from a very successful lunch meeting with Infrastructure NZ in August, Hon Phil Twyford wishes to invite members to a follow.on workshop to specifically seek feedback and suggestions on how to successful unlock the many urban and economic development opportunities along the corridor - using it as a case study for how to successfully support growth at pace and scale in NZ.
This event is open to members of Infrastructure NZ only.
Space is limited to ONE representative per member organisation. All attendees must register below by Tuesday 24th of September.
