Infrastructure NZ's Emerging Talent Network are pleased to invite you to the final event of 2020 - Impact Workshop: Future Proofing Infrastructure. Following Infrastructure New Zealand’s ReBuilding Nations Symposium, we will continue the conversation of building back better and the opportunities this creates for the future of infrastructure in New Zealand.
This workshop will invite participants from across disciplines to consider the future of New Zealand’s infrastructure sectors and the challenges of delivering infrastructure for an ever-changing environment. It will provide you with the opportunity to work as part of a team, share your thoughts and develop new ideas. Based on last year’s feedback – it will also be lots of fun!
The event will begin with a short presentation from an expert panel of speakers who will share their thoughts on long term decision making drawing on their experience in the industry. The expert panel will include Stephanie Ward (KPMG), Aimee Barwick (Mott MacDonald), Nathanael Sterling (Downer) and Matt Sturge (Beca).
PROGRAMME The event will kick off with refreshments and a briefing from our expert panel.
You will then be assigned to a team for this interactive session. Drawing on your team's diverse experience and skills you will assess the challenges and changes facing your team’s sector. Teams will be asked to put themselves in the shoes of the decision makers behind some of New Zealand’s largest infrastructure projects and to develop innovative solutions to help future-proof these projects.
The teams will present their most innovative and interesting solutions to overcome these. The expert panel will judge the innovative ideas and select a winning team to conclude the workshop.
The afternoon will conclude with networking and refreshments thanks to the generosity of our event partner Beca.
Spaces for this workshop are limited to three per organisation. If you are interested in taking part please register below by Thursday, 26 November.
